The Criterion Referenced Competency Tests
(C.R.C.T.) are designed to measure a student's understanding of the
current year of academic studies. These tests provide information on
whether or not the student has mastered an adequate amount of academic
material in order to be successful at the next level. If a student does
not have an adequate understanding of the current grade level studies,
then it is assumed that the student will not be successful at the
following academic grade level. In fact, it is predicted that the
student will fall even further behind.
